It always looks like it is doing a good job of cleaning the floors and there is always a bit of dirt to deposit into the bin. I don’t use the high power setting much at all as the normal setting gives lots of power.Ĭleaning wise, this has consistently picked up a lot of hair and thread and fibre and tinsel over the Christmas weeks and the brussh has never been tangled up with it. Power lasts for around 22 minutes, which has been more than adequate for my four bedroom house. There is a three light indicator on the battery to give power levels at a glance. Great!Ĭontrols on the handle are simple with a toggle switch to turn the cleaner on and off, another to switch from carpet to wooden or tiled flooring and the third to ramp it up to high power for stubborn dirt. the head has a soft sponge roller for wooden floors and a standard nylon brush for carpets so you don’t need to change the head if you move to a room with a different floor covering. Not anything I have a problem with but worth mentioning. When power is on and the motorised head is running, the machine pulls you forward which is helpful but makes pulling it back for another sweep a little more difficult. In it’s full upright position, weight is nicely distributed and it feels fairly lightweight to me. I really appreciate sturdy build quality after years of broken catches and connections on the Dyson vacuums I’ve owned. Both these latter items are plastic but do not feel delicate or easily breakable. Spare batteries are expensive, however, at around £70 at the time of writing, but it’s a great idea.īuild quality is great with sturdy, heavy duty plastic joints and connections on the long and durable feeling metal pipe that connects the hand set to the motorised head. It gives the option of buying another battery and simply releasing one battery and slapping in another to get the job done. Lastly, another great thing is the removable battery, which clicks into the hand set and can be charged in or outside of the vacuum. There is a carrying bag provided for these tools but I couldn’t see anywhere on the machine to store them. It also comes with a small selection of nozzles to clean crevices, curtains and soft furnishings although I haven’t had the need to use all of these, they are handy options. Once folded into its storage position, there is a handle to use and carry the vacuum to and from rooms. If you are doing stairs, you can quickly remove the pole and re-attach the motorised head to the handset and easily run it over the stairs. Are two lockable elbow joints along the length of the pole, which allows the vacuum to fold down into a much tidier and easily storable shape and the other joint allows the motorised head to be pushed under low furniture without you needing to crouch down or catch the pole on the edge of your table or cabinet.
